SHERYL WRIGHT

A Little Bit about Me ...

Hi !   My name is Sheryl Wright.

I offer midwifery care for women throughout  the North Waikato region who plan to birth at home or Birthcare Huntly (with continued support if birth at Waikato Hospital is required).

Experiencing the joys (and demands!) of pregnancy, birth and motherhood inspired my decision to train as a midwife and support women during this unique experience.  My practice reflects my belief that pregnancy is a normal and special part of a woman’s life and I enjoy working in partnership with women to achieve a natural and fulfilling birth experience.

I live in Huntly with my husband and our three children.  In my spare time you’ll find me spending time with my family, at the computer, designing web pages, out in my garden, dreaming about travel to faraway places or with my head in a book.

My Philosophy and Commitment to you ...

The well-being of you and your baby will always be my priority.

I believe ...

  • pregnancy is a normal and special part of a woman’s life

  • in a usual progression of pregnancy and birth we have a responsibility not to interfere with the process

  • outcomes improve when women birth in an environment that supports  and protects the normal process of birth
